Abdominal Gauze Swab

Introduction of abdominal gauze swab:

Pre-washed or non-washed abdominal gauze swab is used to absorb patient blood or exudates in abdominal operation. It is made of 100% cotton gauze and compromise blue loop , x ray thread or x ray tape.

Characteristics of abdominal gauze swab:

1. X-ray detectable to guarantee no gauze is left in patient body after operation.

2. High absorbency. The absorbency of pre-washed abdominal gauze swab is higher than non-washed          abdominal gauze swab.

3. X ray tape ( chip) and x ray thread can be selected.

4. Blue loop or white loop can be selected.

5. Normally the following mesh gauze is adopted: 13 mesh, 17 mesh and 20 mesh.

6. Stitching of abdominal gauze swab to Europe and US is different.
