Advantages of X ray detectable gauze swabs:

X ray detectable gauze swabs are used in surgery. If one pc of gauze swab is left in the body of patient, it will lead to infection and seriously affect the postoperative recovery.

Some people have repeated fever after operation. If there is no x ray thread in the gauze swab, the gauze might not be found during the whole life of the patient. If the gauze stays in the body of patient for a long time, the gauze will be enveloped by proliferated connective tissue in the body and a tumor will be formed.

With the help of x ray thread in the X ray detectable gauze swabs, the left gauze can be found by x ray machine in postoperative inspection or routine physical examination.

Procession of X ray detectable gauze swabs:

Normally we adopt bleached gauze with x ray thread woven inside the gauze.The x ray threads are woven in the gauze along the direction of warp yarns.The position of each line of x ray thread and amount of x ray threads are decided according to the specifications and amount of the gauze swab order.

After gauze is bleached, the gauze with x ray thread woven inside will be bleached.

Bleached x ray surgical gauze will be cut by machines and then folded by machines into x ray detectable gauze swabs.

When the order amount is not big, sometimes we also adopt gauze without x ray thread but fix the x ray thread on the gauze with high temperature. Due to the higher cost, this is seldom done.
